First anniversary of Joyce's death

Thinking about my mother a lot, on the first anniversary (yesterday) of her death. My deepest regret is not being able to be with her when she died. We were not informed of her deteriorating condition until it was too late and she had already passed. COVID marred the last few months that we had together as we could only visit every three weeks, for an hour, behind a screen. We know of many people who experienced similar distress due to this unnatural separation. Hopefully that is all behind us now.
